Leslie King

Teacher Trainer

Leslie's Story

Leslie was born and raised in Baltimore, MD where she began dancing at the age of 2. In high school Leslie was recognized for many achievements including being a Maryland Distinguished Scholar. After graduating from Carver Center for the Arts and technology she went on to attend Goucher College. Leslie graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Education and Choreography. Her studies at at Carver and Goucher led her to her first introduction to the Pilates Method of Conditioning.

After living in Los Angeles and pursuing a career in dance and entertainment, Leslie moved back to Maryland and was fortunate to land the opportunity to work alongside Laura Ward-Moran as Assistant to the Director of Maryland School of Ballet and Modern Dance and Pilates on Main.

In 2011, Leslie began her Pilates Teacher Training journey with the United States Pilates Association (TM). She worked under the tutelage of Romana trained Laura Ward-Moran and Master Teacher Brett Howard. Since then she has been fortunate to work with teachers through out the world such as Mari Winsor, David Freeman, Kath Ross-Nash, Benjamin Deganhardt and Mejo Wiggins.

Leslie truly believes that Pilates is for anyone and everyone no matter where you are in your fitness goals and journey. She loves to share her passion for Pilates, the body, and all movement types.
